They say that history repeats itself, and interior design is no exception. With things like 70s styles returning, you need to find select furniture, paint colors, and custom window treatments that balance current trends, traditional style, and what you like so you can create the perfect interior in your home. These tips can help you update your home’s interior design for 2024.
Tip #1: Pick Natural Colors… or Go Bold
Confusing, right? It certainly can be, but it gives you lots of opportunities to explore options and see what style speaks to you. White and gray have taken a back seat as light browns, beige, yellows, blues, dark browns, and especially greens take center stage. These natural colors encourage a relaxing environment that’s low-key and stress-free.
But that’s not all. Bold colors are also in. If you’ve wanted to try a bright raspberry red, a deep purple, teal, gold, or Kelly green, this is the perfect time to try it.
You can incorporate these colors throughout your home’s interior design. Even if you’re uncertain how you’ll like it, choose a room or rooms and pass on the neutrals in favor of a little more color.

Tip #2: Incorporate Patterns
Plaids, pinstripes, checkerboards, gingham, and patchwork are all making an entrance in 2024.
